RUBBER is an automatic carton sealer that closes the carton’s top flaps without manual assistance: a sensor detects the carton, the flap folding system turns in the front, rear, and both side flaps, and the side belts move the carton through the upper and lower tape heads, sealing both top and bottom in one pass. The belts operate at 16 m/min, so there’s no need to hold the flaps down by hand.

This machine handles cartons from W120 × H120 mm up to W500 × H500 mm and works with Kraft or BOPP tape 48–60 mm wide. Width and height adjustments are made using hand wheels, making it ideal for batches of cartons with the same dimensions.

The machine operates on single-phase 220–240 V, 50–60 Hz and uses 240 W; the flap folding mechanism is pneumatic, so compressed air is required. A clear safety guard with doors encloses the folding and taping area, and an emergency stop button is mounted on the frame.

Operating instructions for the RUBBER box taping machine

1. Connect the machine to single-phase 220–240 V power and compressed air; make sure to drain water from the air filter.
2. Adjust the side belt width and the upper tape head height to fit your carton using the hand wheels.
3. Load a roll of Kraft or BOPP tape, 48–60 mm wide, into both the upper and lower cartridges and center it.
4. Press the ON button to start the side drive belts.
5. Insert the carton with the top flaps open and facing upward. The sensor triggers the flap folder, the flaps are closed in sequence, and the carton passes through the tape heads.
6. Remove the sealed carton at the outfeed. If you change carton sizes, reset the width and height.

Tape heads: maintenance tips and troubleshooting

• Tape is applied too tightly or too loosely. Adjust the pull spring tension on the tape head; thicker tapes like Kraft require higher tension.
• Uneven or rough tape cut. The blade may be dull or installed incorrectly: reverse or replace the blade as needed.
• Tape leg is too long or too short. Adjust the blade support for the front tape leg and the limit block for the rear tape leg.
• Tape is wrinkled or misaligned. Clean the rubber roller, adjust the tape holder or its spring, and make sure the tape is positioned closely against the carton.
• Pneumatic system. Regularly drain water from the air filter, keep the lubricator topped up with pneumatic oil, and wipe dust from the cylinder rod.
• Maintenance. Always turn off power and air before performing any maintenance. Lubricate the adjustment screws every three months, keep the blade clean and oiled, and ensure the machine stays dry. The side belts will gradually become tighter over time, which is normal.
