Industrial machinery for warehouses and factories

Industrial machinery in this category covers battery-powered scissor lifts for working at height and thermal inkjet printers for marking packages. These machines are built for use in warehouses and factories.

There are two groups: scissor lifts, including models AS-X6 and AS-X1012, and thermal inkjet printers, including models GT-100E, ST-210S-H1, and ST-210S-H2. Each model is listed below with its main specifications.

Each group page features a comparison table of its models and answers to common buyer questions. Below the products, you’ll find an overview table comparing all five industrial machinery models.

Scissor lifts as equipment for factories for working at height

SMITH AS-X6 electric scissor lift, lowered, with the extension deck extendedScissor lifts are industrial machinery designed for safe work at height in warehouse settings. The AS-X6 is an electric scissor lift for indoor use only, offering a working height of 7.8 m, a load capacity of 230 kg, and space for two people on the platform. Its width is 0.76 m.

The AS-X1012 is an electric scissor lift for both indoor and outdoor use, with a working height of 12 m and a load capacity of 320 kg. It can hold two people indoors or one person outdoors.

Scissor lifts are used for a range of maintenance tasks at height in a warehouse: changing lights above aisles, repairing or adjusting racking, installing new cables or pipes along ceilings, putting up safety signs, or cleaning high windows. For example, a team might use the AS-X6 in a narrow aisle to replace a damaged beam at the top of the racking, while the AS-X1012 can be used outdoors to install lighting on a loading dock.

When selecting a lift, measure the highest point you need to reach and remember that working height is the platform height plus about 2 m. The AS-X6 is 0.76 m wide and fits through narrow aisles and most doors. The AS-X1012 is 1.15 m wide and needs wider access, but it is the right choice for outdoor work: only with one person on the platform, and never if wind speeds may exceed 12.5 m/s.

Both lifts are battery powered and self-propelled, so you can move them wherever needed, with no exhaust emissions. This allows the lift to operate while the rest of the warehouse is in use. Pothole protection lowers when the platform rises, and the tilt alarm warns if the lift is on too steep a slope. The Scissor Lifts page explains these safety features and the differences between the two models in more detail.

Thermal inkjet printers as equipment for factories for marking packages

GT-100E handheld thermal inkjet printer printing a date and QR code on a cartonThermal inkjet printers are industrial machinery used to print codes, dates, and barcodes on packages in factory environments. The GT-100E is a handheld thermal inkjet printer with a battery, printing codes from 1 to 12.7 mm high. The ST-210S-H1 is a thermal inkjet printer mounted on a production line, with one print head for codes up to 12.7 mm high.

The ST-210S-H2 is a thermal inkjet printer for line mounting, with two print heads for codes up to 25.4 mm high or for printing in two spots on a single package. All printers use 42 ml cartridges and can print text, dates, counters, barcodes, and QR codes.

Codes are printed at two main points in a factory. You might print a batch number or best-before date directly on each product package before boxing, or print a barcode on the closed box at the end of the line.

Printed data can be fixed or change with each package, such as a counter that increases for every box. The handheld GT-100E is used for items that do not move on a conveyor, like pipes, panels, or boxes already stacked on pallets. The ST-210S-H1 and ST-210S-H2 are installed on the line and can receive data from your system via the network port, making them suitable for automated lines where codes must match production data.

Each 42 ml cartridge has its own nozzles, so every new cartridge brings new nozzles and there is no permanent print head to maintain. The ink must be matched to the surface: water-based ink is used for cardboard and paper, while solvent ink is needed for film, metal, and glass. For example, if you pack goods in shrink film, you use solvent ink so the code will not rub off.

Overview table of industrial machinery models

The table below compares all five industrial machinery models by their main specifications.

To use the overview table, start by checking the type column, which shows if a product is a scissor lift or a thermal inkjet printer. The key figures column lists the main numbers: for lifts, this is working height and platform capacity; for printers, it is the maximum code height. For more detailed comparisons, see the tables on the group pages for extra features and differences between models.

Product Type Key figures Group
AS-X6 electric scissor lift, indoor working height 7.8 m, 230 kg Scissor Lifts

Buying industrial machinery

Each product card has three buttons: Add to cart, Get offer, and Add to inquiry. Add to cart lets you order right away, Get offer requests a quote, and Add to inquiry lets you collect several products in one request.

We sell all five machines with a 12-month warranty; the comparison tables on the group pages show the differences between models.

Use Add to cart if the machine meets your needs as listed, for example if you want a single scissor lift or printer. Choose Get offer if you need a quote, such as for extra cartridges for a printer or multiple units of the same model. Add to inquiry is helpful when you want to request both lifts and printers together, for example when setting up a new packing area and needing several types of equipment at once.

When you send a request, describe your application as clearly as possible. For a lift, specify the heights you need to reach and the loads you need to carry. For a printer, include the surface to be printed, the code content, and the line speed. Order cartridges together with the printer so you can start marking right away. For lifts, batteries are the part that wears out over time; they are replaced as needed, not stocked in advance.

What to check before buying a lift

Before you purchase a lift for work at height, confirm the working height required, the total load of people, tools, and materials on the platform, whether the work is indoors or outdoors, and the type of floor the lift will be on. The scissor lift page covers each of these points in detail.

The platform should reach about 2 m below the highest point you need to access: for example, to reach a beam at 6 m, you need a platform height of about 4 m. Add up the weight of everyone and everything you will bring onto the platform. The total load must not exceed 230 kg for the AS-X6 or 320 kg for the AS-X1012.

Check the width of your doors and aisles against the machine: the AS-X6 is 0.76 m wide, the AS-X1012 is 1.15 m. Operators must be trained on the machine, and at the start of each shift, a safety check is performed to ensure the lift is safe to use. This includes checking the battery charge and all safety systems.

What to check before buying a printer

ST-210S-H1 print head mounted on a bracket above a conveyor, with the controller behind itBefore you buy a printer for marking packages, check the surface and the ink required, the code height, the line speed, and where the data will come from. The thermal inkjet printer page explains these points for all three models.

Each print head produces a code height of 12.7 mm, so the ST-210S-H2 with two heads can print up to 25.4 mm high or print in two locations on one package. For example, if your carton requires characters taller than 12.7 mm, such as a large date with a batch line, the ST-210S-H2 is the right model.

Resolution and line speed are connected: all three printers can print at up to 406 m/min at 90 DPI. At the highest resolution, the ST-210S printers reach up to 60 m/min at 600 DPI, and the GT-100E up to 120 m/min at 300 DPI. Data for printing can be entered directly on the printer’s screen or sent from your own system. If you need a network connection, select an ST-210S printer. Always test the ink on your own packaging before starting production to confirm adhesion and drying.

Preparing for your industrial machinery

Before any industrial machinery arrives, check the power supply and outlet, the available space, the route into your building, and who will be trained to use the machine.

Lifts are charged from an outlet in a location away from traffic, so plan a charging area that does not block aisles; the lift can be parked there between jobs, out of the way of forklifts. Fixed printers require their own grounded outlet, not shared with other equipment, and ideally a UPS, as recommended by the manufacturer. For the printer, keep spare cartridges at the line from day one to prevent downtime.

A printer mounted on a line needs a sturdy bracket in a spot where it will not vibrate, since vibration can affect print quality. Check the route for the lift from the truck unloading area: make sure it fits through all doors, aisles, and any freight elevators on the way to its work area. When the machine is collected, inspect it and its packaging, and note any damage on the pick-up paperwork before signing.

Decide in advance who will change cartridges and update texts on the printer, and who will operate the lift, and train them before the first shift. For a printer, have the texts and codes you want to print ready so the first print can be set up on day one.
