Strapping machines

Strapping machines are used in packaging to secure boxes and pallets with strapping material. These machines are designed to streamline your packing process, saving time and reducing stress during busy periods. For companies with high-volume production lines, using strapping machines ensures your products are tightly secured. The machine automates tensioning, cutting, and sealing, making the process much faster by automatically tightening and securing the straps.

Strapping is a reliable way to secure goods for shipping and storage. It works for a wide range of items, from delicate products to heavy loads. Items can be packed in cases or bundled together. This method is mainly used for strapping pallets and joining goods. Strapping machines help increase your productivity and speed up the packing process. They are also safe and easy for employees to use.

We provide a broad selection of high-quality and affordable strapping machines. On our site, you will find these types of strapping machines:

  • Semi-automatic strapping machine
  • Automatic strapping machine
  • Pallet strapping machine

Strapping machines come with a warranty, ISO certificates, and CE marking. Our machines are serviced in Europe. Goods are collected EXW and prices exclude VAT.

Strapping machines

Strapping machines speed up the strapping process and reduce operator fatigue by minimizing the manual labor needed to strap and seal bundles. They are commonly used in medium to high-volume shipping environments, such as loading docks and fulfillment centers.

We offer automatic, semi-automatic, and pallet strapping machines to suit different packaging needs and budgets. Our range includes machines that can strap nearly any size or type of package in various configurations.

Our lineup features semi-automatic, automatic, and pallet strapping machines, including models with conveyor belts. The versatility of our equipment means you do not need a dedicated pallet strapping machine or a plastic strapping machine—our machines can handle almost any load.

How strapping machines work

HIPO semi-automatic strapping machine 5-15mm (3/16" to 9/16") banding machine for plastic PP strap

Strapping machines are mainly used with Polypropylene (PP) or Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET) straps. They provide fast packaging and strapping. The plastic PP or PET strap is loaded into the machine and wrapped around the package. Semi-automatic machines make it quick and easy to strap packages.

Strapping machines are stable and deliver reliable, efficient strapping. No special training is needed for operators of semi-automatic machines. Our strapping machines are durable and require little maintenance. Both using the semi-automatic strapping machine and changing the strap are straightforward. Semi-automatic machines are very quiet thanks to modern DC motors and electronic voltage control, and they work well with thinner PP straps. They are also safe to use and do not require special training. A key benefit of our semi-automatic strapping machines is the automatic tension adjustment to prevent damage to softer packages and better protect larger products. The machines are compact, making them easy to move through tight spaces, and robust enough for any environment. Safety, ease of use, efficiency, time savings, and quality are all strengths of our semi-automatic strapping machines.

Semi-automatic strapping machines tension and heat-seal plastic strapping in medium to high-volume shipping settings, such as loading docks and fulfillment centers. Operators feed the strapping around the package, and the machine automatically tensions and heat-seals it. This speeds up the process and reduces operator fatigue by eliminating manual tensioning and sealing.

Strapping machine pricing

Strapping machine prices depend on several factors, but you can expect a return on investment within months due to time saved in packaging, higher packing productivity, and direct savings on clips and seals. Employees will also benefit from a safer and easier job.

Strapping machine prices range from about 700 to 20,000 EUR. The price depends on the machine’s quality, stability, power, mobility, and strap width.

Choosing the right strapping machine

As with any business decision, your product requirements should guide your choice. Warehouses with high shipping volumes need different machines than those with occasional packaging needs. An efficient pallet strapping process helps meet customer demands and keeps your workspace organized.

Automatic strapping machines

Automatic strapping machines are ideal for large-scale operations. Once set up, you simply place your box or parcel on the machine, press a button, and the process is complete in seconds. The machine handles tensioning and cutting, so you can quickly move to the next package. Automatic strapping machines can also be integrated into a packing line for fully automated strapping.

Semi-automatic strapping machines

If you want to strap products quickly but need a more cost-effective solution, a semi-automatic strapping machine is a good choice. It requires a bit more operator involvement than an automatic model but still increases efficiency. The operator places the package, feeds the strap, and activates the machine. Once done, the semi-automatic machine works much like the automatic version.

Pallet strapping machines

Pallet strapping machines are designed for securing goods on pallets. The machine is brought to the pallet and applies straps in the right positions. It then tightens the straps around the load.

Pallet strapping machines are essential for freight companies and large warehouses. A guide rail slides under the pallet, allowing the strap to be placed around the pallet and goods, then tensioned, cut, and welded by the machine. Securing heavy Euro pallets takes only moments and saves staff from time-consuming manual work.

Setting up your strapping machine

Start by switching on the strapping machine. Next, set the strap feed length and tension. To adjust the feed, press the “Feed” button; the longer you hold it, the more strap will be dispensed. If the semi-automatic strapping machine is not in its home position, press the HOME button to reset it. These semi-automatic strapping machines meet high safety standards. If the top cover is opened, the machine will automatically stop operating.

Press the FEED button to automatically feed the strap.

Strapping material for strapping machines

Some strapping machines use polypropylene (PP) strap, while others use PET strap. Strap width varies by model. Most strapping machines handle strap widths from 5 mm up to 15 mm, and some models can use even wider straps. Our most popular semi-automatic strapping machine, the HIPO model, is compatible with PP straps in widths from 5 mm to 15 mm.

Maintaining your strapping machine

Please note, we do not offer onsite repair for semi-automatic strapping machines. However, we do supply spare parts for your strapping machine. We also provide a detailed manual and a spare parts diagram.

Storing and transporting strapping machines

For long-distance transport or extended storage, pack the strapping machine in a wooden or hardboard box. Secure it to a solid base plate and place a moisture absorber inside. Spray anti-rust inside the machine. Do not stack heavy items on the box. Never transport or store the strapping machine upside down.
