Pallet strapping kits are ready-to-use sets that include everything you need to start packing. Each banding kit comes with a strapping tool, battery or two batteries for battery powered tools, charger for the batteries, plastic PET or PP strap or cord strapping (in various widths), and a dispenser cart. Manual strapping kits also include seals or wire buckles. Once you pick up your pallet strapping kit, you can start packing immediately.

The cost of a pallet strapping kit is lower than buying each component separately. The return on investment is often seen within months, thanks to time saved during packing, increased packing output, and direct savings on clip costs (battery powered strapping tools do not require clips). Pallet strapping kit prices range from about 320 EUR for manual kits to about 2,150 EUR for battery powered kits, depending on the included strapping tool—automatic (with automatic tensioning, friction welding, and cutting), semi-automatic, or manual—and the type of plastic strap (PET or PP) or manual strapping tool.

 

What comes with a pallet strapping kit

Every pallet strapping kit includes a strapping tool. You can choose between a battery powered strapping tool, pneumatic strapping tool, or manual strapping tool, depending on the kit. There are many types of pallet strapping tools, so select the one that best fits your needs. To pick the right pallet strapping kit, first decide on the strap width you need, then select the kit with the appropriate strapping tool.

Our pallet strapping tools cover all strap sizes, from 9 mm up to 19 mm. Next, decide if you want a fully automated solution, where the battery powered strapping tool automatically tensions, welds, and cuts the strap, or if you prefer pneumatic or manual strapping. The strength of the strapping tool you need depends on the strap width and the goods being strapped. We offer battery powered strapping tools with maximum tension force up to 5,000 N.

 

PET and PP plastic strap, cord, or textile strap

Each pallet strapping kit includes one coil of PET or PP plastic strap, or textile cord strapping. Our pre-assembled pallet strapping kits come with different strap widths and types. Please select the set that best matches your requirements. PET strap delivers maximum strength and maintains its bond and tensile strength better than other plastic straps.

PET strap is most often used for heavy loads that require a strong, secure bond for safe transport or storage. Its lower cost compared to metal strapping, combined with similar performance, has led many manufacturers and shippers to choose PET strap over steel.

Polyester strap can be used with battery powered or manual strapping tools. PET strap is easy to recycle. PP strap, or polypropylene, is a cost-effective material suitable for light and medium-heavy loads, ideal for strapping pallets and boxes. It is available in various widths, thicknesses, and polymer types (such as copolymers).

Cord strapping is also a great alternative to metal strapping. It is strong and compact, and its main advantage is that it is safer for goods and employees since it is not sharp.
