The SMARTWRAP S3 is an in-line pallet wrapper designed for conveyor systems. Pallets move in automatically, the wrapper secures them, and they exit on the conveyor. No operator is needed to drive the pallet in, attach, or cut the film—the machine automatically clamps, cuts, and seals the film.

Handles pallets weighing up to 3000 kg with a maximum load diagonal of 1753 mm, using a 2000 mm turntable that can be height-adjusted by 550 mm to match the conveyor height.

This wrapper processes 30 to 40 pallets per hour and wraps up to 3200 mm in height. The turntable operates at 0–15 rpm, and the powered film carriage stretches film to 300% at a steady tension, ensuring every pallet is wrapped consistently.

The film rope feature twists the film into a rope at the base of the load to secure goods to the pallet. The wrapper uses a slewing ring with double nylon rollers made from stainless steel 201, is managed by a SIEMENS PLC with a 7-inch touchscreen, and has a weight of 980 kg.

How the pallet wrapper streamlines your shipping process

• Pallets move automatically. When installed in a conveyor system, the pallet wrapper operates unattended: pallets enter, get wrapped, and exit without manual handling.
• Film is managed by the pallet wrapper. The machine clamps the film at the start, cuts it at the end, and heat-seals the tail—no need for anyone to touch the load.
• Handles 3000 kg and loads up to 3200 mm tall. Heavy or tall pallets are wrapped on the same pallet wrapper, using a 2000 mm turntable.
• 300% pre-stretch with steady tension. One meter of film stretches to three meters, and the tension remains consistent from the first wrap to the last.

How the SMARTWRAP S3 operates in-line

1. Place a 500 mm wide roll of stretch film on the carriage and feed it through the pre-stretch rollers.
2. Select the program on the touchscreen: set the number of wraps at the bottom, middle, and top, turntable speed, and film tension.
3. The conveyor moves the pallet onto the turntable and the machine starts automatically.
4. The machine clamps the film, wraps the load from bottom to top and back, ropes the film at the base, then cuts and seals the film tail.
5. The pallet exits on the conveyor and the next one enters.

Settings and maintenance

• Program. Set the number of wraps at the bottom, middle, and top, turntable speed, and film tension on the SIEMENS touchscreen and save for each load type.
• Film tension. The powered film feed maintains a steady tension, which you can adjust for each load: tight for stable pallets, lighter for delicate or uneven ones.
• Film. Uses stretch film 500 mm wide, accepts rolls up to 250 mm in diameter, and stretches film up to 300%.
• Turntable height. Adjustable above 550 mm, so you can set the pallet wrapper to match your conveyor height.
• Maintenance. Always power down the pallet wrapper before servicing. Keep rollers and the cutting and welding unit clear of film, and regularly inspect the slewing ring, belt drive, and safety belt inside the column.

At the start of each shift, make sure the film carriage, rollers, and cutting/welding unit are free from leftover film and debris. Check conveyor alignment and verify the safety belt inside the column is undamaged. While running, monitor for film breaks, uneven wrapping, or pallets not centered on the turntable.

Before choosing the SMARTWRAP S3, make sure your pallet dimensions, weight, and height fit within the machine’s capabilities. Check the installation area for enough space, including room for changing film rolls and performing maintenance. The conveyor height must be within the turntable’s adjustment range, and specify the pallet flow direction for proper integration.
