B190 threading tool: operator instructions and best practices

When using the B190, make sure the strap is straight and untwisted before securing it in the clip. If the strap comes off the roll with a curve, it may be harder to thread unless it lines up with the rod. Guide the head through the pallet opening that matches your intended strap path, steering clear of nails, debris, or damaged boards that could block the head. The flexible rod will follow the gap under the pallet, but don’t force it around sharp bends or through spaces smaller than the head size.

How to thread the strap

1. Place the end of the strap into the clip head and lock it in place.
2. Hold the handle and push the head through the pallet opening from one side.
3. Guide the rod until the head exits on the opposite side.
4. Remove the strap from the clip and pull it up to the top of your load.
5. Tighten and seal the strap as you normally would.

Usage tips

• Strap dimensions. Accepts strap up to 25 mm wide and 1.5 mm thick; larger straps will not fit the clip.
• Correct threading direction. Push the head through the pallet opening along the intended strap path.
• Secure the strap. If the strap is only placed in the clip and not locked, it may slip out under the pallet.
• Keep the rod straight. The rod is flexible, but avoid sharp bends or stepping on it.
• Between uses. Store the tool at your strapping station so it’s ready for the next pallet.
