Plastic PP strapping is widely used in both craft and industrial settings for efficient and economical packaging. PP straps are ideal when high tensile strength is not necessary. These straps can be used with semi-automatic or automatic strapping machines, a manual strapping tool (requires metal seals), or a battery-powered strapping tool (using heat seal and vibration to join the strap). For best results, a strap dispenser cart is recommended to speed up the process and protect the strap from environmental factors. Battery-powered strapping tools offer the advantage of not needing metal seals, as the strap is joined by heat, which can reduce long-term packaging costs. PP straps can also be used with plastic seals. Straps are available in a range of sizes and core diameters (63mm, 150mm, 200mm, 280mm, 406mm).

PP strap – Strap connectors

PP, or polypropylene, strapping is made from a clean, lightweight, and environmentally conscious polypropylene material. This strap is designed for easy handling and reliable performance, making it suitable for a wide range of packaging and bundling tasks across various industries. PP straps are available in widths from 5mm to 19mm, with thicknesses ranging from 0.5mm to 1mm. Thanks to its affordability and user-friendly nature, PP strapping is a practical choice for many packaging applications. The strap is highly reliable and rarely breaks under normal use. Custom branding is available, allowing up to three colors for your logo on the strap to help promote your business. Polypropylene strapping is recyclable and can be easily removed when needed. It is offered in widths of 5-19mm and thicknesses of 0.5-1mm. The strap supports loads from 70 to 500 kg. Compared to PET strap of the same size, PP strap provides about half the strength, but it stretches up to 20% more. For automatic machines, core diameters of 200mm or 406mm are typical, while 406mm is standard for manual or battery tools. PP strap is available with either embossed or smooth surfaces. It is easy to load onto semi-automatic machines. Embossed surfaces on hand tools improve flexibility and tear resistance. The cost is also lower, as the embossed design allows for the same strength with less material. PP strapping can be produced in various colors and can be printed with your company logo or slogan.
