Key functions of the film

• Your pallet arrives in the same condition it left. Properly wrapped loads stay secure during transport, which saves more than any film cost.
• Protects against dust and moisture. Wrapped pallets can be stored outdoors or in a cross-dock without exposing goods to the elements.
• The right machine reduces film use. Film thickness doesn’t equal strength: a machine that stretches film efficiently uses less film per pallet than using a thicker film loosely.
• 23 microns is the optimal balance. Thick enough for standard pallet loads, yet thin enough for the machine to stretch without tearing.
• 16 kg per roll. Full machine rolls mean fewer interruptions for reloading during dispatch.
• Universal width for all machines. 500 mm is the industry standard, ensuring compatibility with your current and future pallet wrappers.

Instructions for use

1. Mount the roll onto the wrapper’s film carriage and feed the film to the load.
2. Secure the film’s end at the base of the pallet, or let the machine hold it in place.
3. Begin the wrapping process: the turntable rotates, the carriage moves up and down, and the film is applied to the load.
4. Allow the machine to make several passes at the bottom to secure the load to the pallet.
5. At the end of the cycle, cut the film and press the end against the wrapped load.

Storage and handling guidelines

• Stretch first, then apply tension. Adjust the carriage to stretch the film to the desired length before setting the tension. Excess tension on unstretched film can cause tearing; too little tension may allow the load to shift.
• Secure the bottom layers. Most of the holding strength comes from the wraps that attach the load to the pallet. Count the turns for accuracy.
• Watch for sharp corners. Tears usually start at corners, not in the middle. Use corner protectors for loads with sharp edges.
• Keep rolls free of debris. Dirt or grit on the roll’s edge can cause a tear that runs across the film when stretched.
• Store indoors only. Keep rolls dry, out of sunlight, and off cold floors. Exposure to sun reduces cling and stretch performance.
• Not intended for long-term outdoor use. Standard film offers limited UV resistance. For extended outdoor storage, choose a UV-stabilized film.

• Pallet storage location. This film is suitable for use under cover. If pallets will be stored outdoors for extended periods, ask us about UV-stabilized film.
