The TONNA 240L is a bin press designed for 240-liter waste bins. Place the bin on the platform, and the hydraulic press plate compresses the waste inside, allowing the bin to hold much more material before emptying.

Before each use, make sure the bin is intact and free of any forbidden materials. The arms must be adjusted to secure the bin properly. While operating, keep hands away from moving parts and monitor for any abnormal sounds or movement.

Always follow the operator manual for safe operation and wear appropriate gloves and safety shoes. Clean the press regularly to avoid waste buildup around the platform and moving components.

Operating instructions

1. Position the bin on the platform so the lid faces outward.
2. Adjust the arms to fit the width of the bin.
3. Press and hold the green ON button and push the lever down: the pressing plate will compact the waste until it stops automatically.
4. Hold ON and move the lever up to lift the plate back up.
5. Continue filling and pressing until the bin is full. If the machine does not start, press OFF to reset.

Location and maintenance

• Placement. Best used indoors or under a roof, on a flat, stable surface with good lighting and ventilation. Adjust all four feet so the machine stands firmly.
• Electrical. 220–230 V single phase, 16 A, isolator within 2 m. For outdoor use, a waterproof IP65 plug with a 30 mA RCD must be installed by a qualified electrician.
• Daily. Inspect for signs of wear, oil leaks, and keep the baler clean.
• Monthly. Check oil level, bolts, safety guards, cables, and hydraulic hoses.
• Annually. Complete service with oil change: 14 liters of Mobil DTE24 or a similar oil.
• Safety. Do not operate with damaged cables, hoses, leaks, or loose parts. Never allow anyone under the pressing plate.
