The SMARTWRAP B3 is a box stretch wrapper with pre-stretch: cartons are placed on an 800 mm turntable, held down by a top press, while the film carriage wraps stretch film from the bottom to the top and back again.

The film carriage stretches the film by 300% before it covers the load, so one meter of film from the roll covers several meters around the cartons.

This stretch wrapper handles loads up to 900 mm tall and up to 1000 kg. The turntable can spin up to 12 rpm, and the carriage speed goes up to 5.5 m/min. Both speeds are set via the touchscreen.

Powered by single-phase 220–240 V at 1.5 kW, the machine is mounted on casters so you can easily move it to your packing area.

Selecting and using the SMARTWRAP B3 PRESTRETCH

Frequent errors include threading the film incorrectly, using film rolls that do not meet the specified width or diameter, and not adjusting the wrapping force for different types of loads. To prevent film breaks or loose wrapping, always use stretch film that matches the pre-stretch system of the wrapper and keep an eye on film tension during use. Operating the SMARTWRAP B3

1. Install the film roll on the carriage and guide the film through the rollers as indicated, making sure the cling side faces the load.
2. Position the cartons in the center of the turntable and secure the film end to the load.
3. Select either standard or top-sheet mode on the touchscreen, then check the number of turns and wrapping force settings.
4. Press the start button: the turntable rotates while the carriage wraps the load from bottom to top and back down.
5. Once the turntable returns to its starting point, cut the film manually and remove the wrapped load.

Settings and care

• Wrapping force. Adjustable from 0 to 100: higher settings apply more tension to the film around the load.
• Turns. Begin with 2 wraps at the base and 2 at the top, plus 1 full up-and-down cycle, then fine-tune for your load.
• Daily inspection. Test the emergency stop and carriage safety plate before starting work.
• Cleaning. Wipe down the wrapper with a dry cloth or mild cleaner; never use solvents or gasoline.
• Carriage rollers. If the film slips, clean the rollers with alcohol to remove adhesive residue.
• Lubrication. Oil the column bearings and lubricate and adjust the drive chains as described in the manual.
