GT-100E Handheld Inkjet Printer

GT-100E handheld inkjet printer with 5-inch touchscreenThe GT-100E is a handheld inkjet printer that you hold against a box, pipe, or part to print dates, batch codes, or QR codes directly onto the surface—no labels needed and no need to stop your process.

Industries and Applications: GT-100E Handheld Inkjet Printer

The GT-100E is designed for marking and coding in sectors like electronics, automotive parts, pharmaceuticals, food packaging, cosmetics, healthcare, chemical packaging, and logistics. It prints directly onto cartons, plastic, metal, pipes, glass, cables, electronic parts, and industrial packaging. Common uses include printing batch numbers, expiration dates, serial numbers, barcodes, and QR codes for traceability and regulatory compliance.

This printer is ideal for handheld operation at workstations, on pallets, or with large items, and can also be mounted on a conveyor for inline marking. It’s a smart choice when product sizes or shapes vary, or when fixed printers aren’t practical. The GT-100E is frequently used to mark items during packing, inspection, or movement, all without disrupting workflow.

Print resolution reaches 300 × 300 DPI with a print height from 1 to 12.7 mm. Maximum print speeds: 406 m/min at 90 DPI, 304 m/min at 120 DPI, 240 at 150 DPI, 120 at 300 DPI, and 60 at 600 DPI.

GT-100E handheld inkjet printer marking a date on a cartonIt prints text, date and time, shift codes, serial numbers, logos, barcodes, and QR codes, and can pull data from a database. The 5-inch color touchscreen runs embedded Linux and supports over 40 languages.

The 12.6 V / 3350 mAh lithium battery is removable, so you can swap in a spare to keep working through long shifts. The housing is made of ABS, and the printer’s dimensions are 220 × 140 × 95 mm.

Benefits of using a handheld printer

  • No labels required. Print codes directly onto cartons, pipes, cables, or parts—no need to print, apply, or worry about running out of labels.
  • Bring the printer to your products. The handheld printer is portable, so you can take it to pallets or machinery instead of moving items to a stationary printer.
  • Handheld or inline use. Use the same printer by hand or mount it on a conveyor with an external photo sensor and encoder.
  • Battery lasts a full shift. 12.6 V / 3350 mAh removable battery—swap in a charged pack in seconds when needed.
  • Print variable information. Add date, shift, counter, serial number, GS1 DataMatrix, or QR codes from a database—set it once on the screen and print on every item.
  • Choose ink for your material. Water-based, oil-based, mild solvent, solvent, or food-safe inks available in black, white, red, yellow, blue, green, invisible, or UV options.

How to print a code

  1. Insert the cartridge and power on the printer, the RFID chip automatically detects the ink type and level.
  2. Enter your text on the touchscreen, or select a date, counter, barcode, or database field.
  3. Adjust the print height and resolution to match your material.
  4. Position the printer 1–2 mm from the surface and move it along, or let products pass under the print head on a conveyor.
  5. The nozzle dispenses ink as the encoder tracks movement, ensuring each code is printed at a consistent length.

Settings and care

  • Resolution and speed. These are linked: 406 m/min at 90 DPI, down to 60 m/min at 600 DPI. Use the lowest resolution that keeps your code readable.
  • Distance. Keep 1–2 mm from the surface. If you print from farther away, ink spreads and edges become less sharp.
  • Ink. Water-based ink is for cardboard and paper, solvent and mild solvent inks are for plastic, metal, and glass, and food-grade ink is for food packaging.
  • Cartridge. Remove the cartridge and seal it when not using the printer to prevent nozzle drying. Clean the nozzle plate with a lint-free cloth only.
  • Dust. Store the printer in a dust-free area and wipe the housing after each shift. Dust on the nozzle can cause missing lines in your print.
  • Battery. Recharge before the battery is fully drained and keep a spare charged for longer jobs.

Before you buy

Pricing is listed on this page. When choosing a handheld printer, match it to your material and code requirements before purchasing:

  • Surface. Suitable for cardboard, plastic, metal, sheet, pipe, stone, cable, glass, electronic parts, and auto components. The ink type is what matters most, not the printer itself.
  • Code height. Prints from 1 to 12.7 mm in a single pass. For larger print areas, consider the ST-210S-H2 with dual heads for 25.4 mm.
  • Handheld or inline. For stationary use on a conveyor, the ST-210S-H1 is designed for mounting and includes a network port.
  • Ink type. Specify your material and whether the packaging contacts food to ensure the correct cartridge is supplied.
  • Power. The adapter supports 100–240 V; the printer operates on battery when away from an outlet.
  • Collection. The printer is packed in a 50 × 50 × 20 cm box, weighing about 5 kg. Goods are collected EXW and prices do not include VAT.
