How the Vertical Baler TONNA20 operates

Site Requirements

When choosing a location for the TONNA20 vertical baler, please consider the following factors:

• The machine requires a stable surface. The floor must be able to support the machine’s weight, as well as accommodate pallet trucks and other load-bearing equipment.
• There should be enough space around the machine for loading, monitoring, maintenance, and removing bales.
• The electrical supply (220v / 240v) should be located near the machine.
• Lighting in the machine area should comply with local occupational health and safety regulations.
• The area where the machine is installed should have adequate ventilation.

Loading waste material into the machine

Once the cardboard compactors are secured, the machine is ready to be loaded. Begin by closing the lower door, then start filling the machine. When starting a new bale, place a large piece of cardboard (or similar suitable material) at the bottom of the hopper. This will help catch all the ties and solid waste used to secure the bale. Ensure that only waste material is loaded into the machine. Once full, you can proceed to bale the material.

Compacting

The hydraulic hoses provide the clamping force needed to compress the waste. The material is compacted to reduce its volume. The baling process is as follows:

1. Fill the bale chamber to the top of the machine.
2. To start compacting, choose the compression setting on the control panel, press the green button, and activate the “compress” command. The machine will run the compression cycle and stop automatically when finished. (The clamping plate can remain in this position until you reload the machine.)
3. To return the clamping plate to the upper position, press the green button and move it to the “pinch” setting. During the clamping cycle, the machine will stop automatically and the plate will return to its starting position.
4. The machine will stop immediately if you press the red button.
5. Repeat this process until you have filled and compacted the desired number of bales.
