How do I operate the SMITH 3-Wheel Electric Forklift?

1. Insert the key into the ignition, turn it to the right, and the emergency power safety switch will reset. Then gently activate the control circuit.
2. Raise the forks approximately 10 cm off the ground.
3. Start to release the parking brake system.
4. Press the switch in the direction you wish to move, either forward or backward, as needed.
5. Gradually press the accelerator pedal until you reach the desired speed.
6. If you encounter any issues while operating the electric forklift and need to stop immediately, press the red emergency power switch.
7. When turning the forklift, reduce speed whenever possible.
8. The forklift’s maximum gradeability is 10%. Operators should assess the slope before climbing and fully depress the accelerator pedal to achieve the best climbing performance.
9. When descending a slope, release the accelerator pedal to engage reverse braking current. If this does not control the speed adequately, also apply the brake pedal to maintain safety.
10. When parking, release the accelerator pedal until the forklift comes to a complete stop. Lower the forks to their lowest position, keep your hands inside the cab, press the safety switch, and remove the key.
