Textile strap packaging is increasingly popular. Textile strapping is an excellent alternative to steel strapping, offering a more affordable, lighter, and safer solution that is also easier to handle. These straps are made from polyester fibers, with variations in how the fibers are joined. During manufacturing, polyester fibers are bonded to the tape using hot adhesive. Because the tape is not further processed, it remains cost-effective. The strap is wound on a core with a 76 mm center diameter. Woven straps, unlike other types, are not made using adhesive; instead, the polyester fibers are interlaced, providing high tensile strength and resistance to sharp edges. Since woven textile straps are not glued, phosphate buckles are recommended for use. The strap is wound on a core with a 76 mm center diameter. All textile straps absorb shock well and allow for retightening when used with special metal buckles. Textile straps are available in widths from 13 mm to 35 mm, with tensile strengths ranging from 300 kg to 1600 kg.

Textile strap construction

Textile straps are produced from hot thermoplastic fibers. Depending on the width and the number of fibers, a 13 mm strap can support up to 390 kg, while a 35 mm strap can handle up to 1400 kg. The hot adhesive gives the strap a wax-like appearance. When equipped with metal buckles, you can select the best option for your application. Among all polyester fiber straps, textile tape is considered the most standard and cost-effective. It is suitable for a wide range of packaging needs, but items should not have sharp edges or be hot when strapped. These straps are made from polyester fibers, which can be integrated into a polymer coating (composite straps), bonded with adhesive (thermoplastic), or woven (woven straps). The strap’s tensile strength and elongation are comparable to those of steel strapping. Thanks to these properties and the benefits listed below, this product is now widely used in industries such as woodworking, mining, construction, and packaging waste.
