The ZONE450F is an impulse pedal sealer. The heating wire in the sealing bar is energized only when the jaws are closed, and cools down immediately after, so the seal is finished before the bag is removed and the bar stays cool between uses.

This sealer makes a 450 mm long seal, so you can seal bags up to that width in one step, with a seal width of 2 to 5 mm. The heating time can be set from 0 to 2.5 seconds to match the type of film you are using.

You close the jaws using the foot pedal, so both hands are free to hold the bag in place. The machine stands on its own column, measuring 550 × 520 × 880 mm, and weighs around 20 kg. This is a floor-standing unit, not designed for tabletop use.

This sealer operates on a standard 110 V or 220 V outlet at 800 W, using a grounded three-wire connection. No compressed air is needed and there is no installation required.

How to create a seal

1. Turn on the sealer and adjust the heating time to match the film you are working with.
2. Lay the filled bag so the open end is flat across the sealing bar.
3. Step on the foot pedal: the jaws close and the heating wire activates for the selected time.
4. After the indicator light turns off, wait one to two seconds to let the seal cool while still clamped.
5. Remove the bag by pulling it sideways, left and right, not toward yourself.

Settings and maintenance

• Heating time. Adjustable from 0 to 2.5 seconds. Start with a short setting and increase by tenths until the seal is secure; too much time will burn through the film.
• Bag placement. The open end should be flat across the bar with no creases. A crease can cause the bag to open later.
• After sealing. Wait one to two seconds before removing the bag, and always pull it away sideways. Pulling forward while the seal is still soft can tear it.
• Never seal without a bag. Closing the jaws with nothing in between will damage the PTFE cloth.
• Cleaning. Keep the sealing bar and PTFE cloth free from melted film and never use wet cleaning methods. Do not scrape off hardened film with sharp objects.
• Wear parts. The PTFE cloth, heating wire, and upper pressure pad are consumable parts; a damaged pad can cause uneven seals.

Is the ZONE450F right for your packaging?

When planning production, think about the bag dimensions, how many bags you need to seal per shift, and the types of products you’ll be packaging. This sealer is not designed for liquids or powders that could spill onto the sealing bar, as residue can harm the PTFE cloth and lower seal quality.

• Bag width. Seals bags up to 450 mm wide in one step. For larger bags, use the ZONE600F with a 600 mm sealing bar.
• Film type. Impulse sealing works for PE, PP, and multi-layer films. For aluminum-laminated or thicker bags, choose the constant heat ZONE300D.
• Seal width. Produces a seal between 2 and 5 mm wide. For a wider, heavy-duty seal, the ZONE300D creates a 14 mm seal.
• Setup. This sealer is free-standing on its own column at working height; it is not a tabletop model.
• Power supply. 110 V or 220 V, 800 W, requires a grounded outlet.
