This product is self-stick kraft paper tape, 50 mm in width as well as 50 m in length per roll. It seals cartons just like plastic tape, but both the tape and the box are made from the same material.

Each box contains 72 rolls: 3600 m of tape, so you can seal many cartons before restocking.

This tape features paper with a natural rubber adhesive (solvent-based): it is recyclable, works on recycled cardboard, and peels off without leaving sticky residue.

50 mm fits all carton sealers we offer. FLEX TAPE, TOP TAPE, AUTO-TAPE, RUBBER, and AUTO&FOLD-5050 all handle kraft or BOPP tape from 48 mm up, and it can also be used with a manual dispenser.

This tape is ideal for use in warehouses, distribution centers, and e-commerce fulfillment operations where cardboard boxes are sealed for storage or transport. It works well with automatic or semi-automatic carton sealing equipment and can also be applied at manual packing stations using handheld dispensers. Why choose paper tape over plastic

• Only one material to recycle. When you seal a carton with paper tape, the whole box can go straight into cardboard recycling. No need to remove a plastic strip first.
• Sticks to recycled cartons. Recycled cardboard can be dusty and porous, which is where low-cost plastic tape often fails. Paper tape with rubber adhesive holds firmly.
• Keeps boxes residue-free. When removed, it doesn’t leave sticky marks behind—important for boxes that will be reused.
• Blends in with packaging. Brown paper tape on a brown box; you can add printed tape later without a plastic strip covering your logo.
• Works with your current machines. Our carton sealers use 48 to 72 mm tape, so 50 mm fits right in—no adjustments needed.

Instructions for use

1. Place the roll into the tape head of your carton sealer or into a hand dispenser.
2. Adjust the tape leg, folding the tape over the front and back edges of the carton.
3. Close the carton flaps and pass it through the machine; the tape head applies and cuts the tape.
4. Firmly press the tape along the seam, paying extra attention to the ends where it folds over.
5. For heavy or fully packed cartons, apply a second strip across the first at a right angle.

Kraft paper tape 50 mm × 50 m: how to select and use

Before selecting this tape, review the size and weight of your cartons to make sure a single strip will secure the contents. For oversized or heavy packages, reinforce the seam or apply extra tape as needed. This tape is recommended for standard shipping boxes made from single or double-wall corrugated cardboard. If your cartons have glossy or laminated finishes, test the tape’s adhesion on a sample first.

To minimize waste, measure the tape needed for each box and set your dispenser or machine accordingly. When switching from plastic to paper tape, operators may need to adjust the sealing pressure for best results.

Storage and handling guidelines

• Apply pressure. Paper tape bonds by the pressure you use. A roller or firm hand along the seam ensures the box stays closed.
• Use on clean, dry cardboard. Adhesion is reduced by dust, moisture, or cold. Tape may not stick well to boxes stored in unheated areas.
• Temperature. Rated up to 60°C; store between 18–30°C and let it reach room temperature before use.
• Not for wet conditions. Paper tape is not waterproof. For cartons stored outdoors, use a cover or a different closure method.
• Keep rolls in the box. Dust on the roll edge will affect the adhesive. Remove rolls only as needed.
• Store inside. Keep dry, at room temperature, away from radiators and off cold floors.

The price is listed on this page. Since 50 mm tape is used for both the box and the machine, please confirm the following before purchasing:

• Your equipment. 50 mm tape is compatible with all carton sealers we offer: FLEX TAPE, TOP TAPE, and AUTO-TAPE accept 48–72 mm, RUBBER fits 48–60 mm, and AUTO&FOLD-5050 also fits 48–60 mm.
• Your usage. 72 rolls at 50 m each provide a total of 3,600 meters.
• The box material. Low-cost tape often fails on recycled, dusty, or cold cardboard. Paper tape with a rubber adhesive is designed for these conditions.
• Storage conditions. This tape is not waterproof. If your goods are stored outside or transported in wet conditions, plan to use a cover.
• Printing options. This tape is plain brown. Custom printed tape requires a separate order and additional lead time.
• Manual or machine use. This roll is suitable for both hand dispensers and tape heads.
